Description:
So much data, so little planning!
Research teams often don't realize just how much data is produced throughout the systematic review process, resulting in inconsistent and unreliable data management and availability. Librarians and other information professionals are deeply involved in managing search-related data and documentation, but there's much more beyond the search! It's time to take an active role in planning and advising on systematic review data management.
Systematic review experts from the University of Calgary, the University of Michigan, and the University of Victoria will walk participants through a systematic review data management planning instruction toolkit. The toolkit covers the "why", "what" and "how" of DMPs for systematic reviews, and introduces the Data Management Plan Template for Systematic Reviews. Participants will also work through case scenarios and tackle common problems and questions related to systematic review data management planning. The toolkit will be available after the completion of the session.
