Software Update

The Anatomage Table at the Taubman Health Sciences Library helps to enhance health sciences instruction, learning, and research. Anatomage TableOnCloud, the online version of the physical table at the Taubman Health Sciences Library, is available to users 24 hours a day 7 days a week. It contains four photorealistic cadavers, a case library, and dissection tools. How to guides and tool specific videos are available. 

The latest software update includes:

  • Cardiology:
    • 12 Lead ECG: Examine the heart's electrical activity across various conditions using a comprehensive 12-lead ECG model.
    • Wiggers Diagram: Explore the interconnections between electrical, mechanical, and pressure changes throughout the cardiac cycle.
  • Neural Pathways:
    • Brodmann Areas: Discover regions of the cerebral cortex through detailed maps highlighting their unique cellular structure and organization.
    • Stroke Tool: Analyze cerebral blood flow and overlay brain maps to understand the functional impact of strokes on patients.
    • Functional Areas: Identify the brain’s functional regions in 3D, along with their corresponding physiological functions.
  • Respiration:
    • Adjustable Respiration: Modify the cadaver's breathing and respiration rate to observe effects on lung volume and pressure.
    • Bronchoscopy Tool: Explore lung pathways in 3D and assess airway structures integrated into the Respiration tool.
  • Facial Expression: Discover how various muscles coordinate to produce different facial expressions.
  • Renal Physiology: Engage with each step of urine production, from macro to histological levels.
  • Homeostasis (Glucose Regulation): Visualize the journey of glucose particles throughout the body in real time following a meal.
