Getting Started

This guide provides a starting place for your research in the field of the international performing arts, focusing on music, theater, and dance. It incorporates resources from and outside the U-M Library in multiple formats: text, audio, visual, and multimedia.
- The Global Sources tab is a great place to start your research, especially for resources in English. It directs to:

- reference materials
- The Regions tab directs to sources specific to several broad areas of the world: Africa; Central Asia and Eastern Europe; East Asia; Latin America and the Caribbean; the Middle East and North Africa; South Asia; and Southeast Asia, Oceania, Australia, and New Zealand. Content includes:

Keep in mind that while most resources are in English, some performing arts resources are in the language(s) of their region.
