Looking for Dental Hygiene Information?
There are different types of information available to dental hygiene students through the University Library system, in both print and electronic formats.
Look for the MGet It button, which provides links to electronic versions of journal articles.
| Articles |
Articles from scholarly journals are the primary source for recent research in a field, & this is where most cutting-edge health-sciences research will appear first. Searching in UM databases with MGet It links will connect you to these articles. |
| Books |
Books provide detailed background and historical information, so they're the place to look for generally accepted information. They also provide more references in their bibliographies. Reference Books, the print editions of which are shelved on the main floor of the Taubman Health Sciences Library, include encyclopedias, atlases, & subject-specific dictionaries. Use these sources for definitions & shorter explanations. |
| Web Sites | The internet provides a vast amount of information. Web sites of government departments & from professional organizations are reliabale sources. |
