Use the following databases to find journal articles to use in your research.
- PubMed @ U-M (with MGet It links) This link opens in a new windowIndexes over 4,000 biomedical, nursing, dentistry and related journals, with over 27 million citations in MEDLINE, PreMEDLINE and related databases.
- MEDLINE (Ovid) This link opens in a new windowMEDLINE encompasses articles from Index Medicus, Index to Dental Literature, and International Nursing, as well as other sources in allied health and biological sciences. The Ovid MEDLINE content overlaps significantly with PubMed @ UM but has a different user interface.
- Dentistry & Oral Sciences SourceBroad coverage of dental topics, including the business of dentistry; includes international literature not in PubMed.
- CINAHLThe Cumulative Index to Nursing & Allied Health (CINAHL) database. Dental hygiene is included in "allied health." This is a good supplement to PubMed.
- CINAHL/PsycInfo searching (video)This video gives tips for searching CINAHL and PsycInfo.
- PsycInfo (APA) This link opens in a new windowWhen you need to find information on the psycho-social aspects of practice, this is the database to use.
- AgelineIf you need information on aging populations, start here. From American Association of Retired Persons.
- Google Scholar @ UMSearch Google Scholar with MGet It links that connect you to the online and print versions of journals owned by the University Library.
