Increasingly, scholars are studying mixed race topics and publishing articles, books, websites, and other media related to mixed race experiences. Finding these materials can be challenging, however, because of:

• a lack of standardized language describing mixed race issues and people
• every database uses its own set of vocabulary to describe mixed race
• indexers don't always apply mixed race terms to relevant materials
