UMHS Microsoft InTune

The School of Medicine Office of Information Services uses a Microsoft application named Intune to be in compliance with the SOM Policy on Mobile Device Management. 

InTune Registration Instructions by App

UpToDate is an expert opinion point of care resource made available to UM users by the Medical School.

For access to the UpToDate app, follow these instructions:

  1. On a Michigan Medicine wireless network (MWireless-UMHS or UMHS-8021x), go to UpToDate: www.uptodate.com.
  2. Click the "login" link, scroll down, and register as a new user.
  3. Download the UpToDate app and use your individual account to log in.

Using UpToDate

DynaMed is an evidence-based point of care resource made available to UM users by the Taubman Health Sciences Library.

To register for the DynaMed app, follow these instructions:

  1. Go to DynaMed on the campus network.
  2. Click the "Mobile" link.
  3. Enter your email address in the "Email to" box. 
  4. ON YOUR MOBILE DEVICE, open the email from DynaMed and click the authentication link.
  5. Run any updates that are available (this may take a few minutes).

How to use the DynaMed app

Epocrates connects you to basic drug information including dosing, interactions, and identification.

No subscription registration is required.

Use VisualDx to visually validate patient diagnosis and quickly access next steps for care.

A password is required before you download the app.

  1. Launch VisualDx from the MWireless-UMHS or UMHS-8021x wireless network.
  2. From the top right, click Get VisualDx Mobile.
  3. Create your personal username & password as instructed.
  4. Download the free VisualDx Mobile app on your mobile device.
  5. Launch the VisualDx app from your device & sign in.

 

Select your specialty (Cardiology, Nephrology, Hematology) for relevant calculators & decision aids.

Using Calculate by QxMD

The AnticoagEvaluator helps clinicians make well-informed decisions on antithrombotic therapy for their non-valvular AF patients. 

No subscription registration is required.

 

 

 

The ASCVD Risk Calculator contains a risk calculator & information on statin intensities, groups who would benefit from statin therapy, & information for providers & patients. From the American College of Cardiology (ACC).

No subscription registration is required.

 

ClinicalKey provides evidence-based, peer-reviewed information for accurate diagnosis & treatment.

  1. Access ClinicalKey on the MWireless-UMHS or UMHS-8021x wireless network
  2. In the upper right, click Register
  3. Create a username & password.
  4. Download the ClinicalKey app & use your individual account to log in.

 

Omnio provides quick access to a variety of medical resources: from clinical & coding, lab &  diagnostic, drug information, symptom checker, & more.

No subscription registration is required.

 

Read by QxMD is an app that allows you to stay updated on current journal articles, and to search PubMed.

For access to subscription-only pdfs provided by THL, follow these instructions:

  1. Go to the settings section (gear icon)
  2. Select Institutional Access, University of Michigan, and Automatic Login
  3. Log in with your Level-1 credentials
