This research guide presents resources for locating and evaluating Chinese-language resources in the STEM (science, technology, engineering and math) fields. These resource originate from Mainland China, Taiwan and Hong Kong. This guide mainly focuses on electronic resources but mentions a few print resources as well.  

The significant increase in scholarly publication from China demands attention. Essential Science Indicators, a compilation of science performance statistics that can be used to determine influential individuals, institutions and countries in a field of study, has shown a large increase in both the quantity and quality of scholarly research from China. 

Academic Culture and Publishing in China

In addition to increase in scholarly output from China, an increase in international collaborations requires more understanding of Chinese academic culture and publishing practices, which are rapidly changing. Many of the articles listed below explain current Chinese culture and practices and how they are becoming more aligned with international academic culture and practices.
