Library Guide for International Students and Scholars

Librarians can always be found at Information Desks. These desks are typically found in the entrance of a library, although you can use this link to find all their locations on the central, medical and north campuses.

Ask a Librarian is a both in-person and online service where, like its name suggests, you can ask a librarian any kind of question about the library. They can help connect you with support for your project or teach you more about library resources. Their physical location (which can be found with the link in the previous bullet point) is in the second floor of Hatcher library. Online, you can connect through a chatbox they are usually available during most of the workday.

Subject Specialists are librarians who know a lot about a specific field of study. Most academic fields and majors have at least one specialist in the Library system. You can schedule a consultation with them to get help on developing your research topic and finding (or requesting) books for your studies.
