Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP)

Description

CDP Worldwide (formerly the Carbon Disclosure Project) is a non-profit organization that runs a global system to collect and analyze voluntary carbon disclosure data from companies around the world. The U-M Library has licensed access to all of the data available from CDP Worldwide starting with 2010, and we will continue to add more data as it is released by CDP. This collection is available to current U-M affiliates only. It currently includes:

  • Supply Chain Public data (2010-2019)
  • Public Climate Change data (2019-2023)
  • Public Climate Change scores (2013-2023)
  • Investor Public data (2010-2019)
  • Climate Change Questionnaires (2019-2023)
  • Full GHG Emissions data (2016-2023)
  • Forests data
    • Public Forests Corporate Response Data (2013-2023
    • Public Forests Scores (2017-2023)
    • Forests Questionnaires (2013-2023)
    • Forests Questionnaire Response Status (2013-2023)
  • Water Security data
    • Public Water Security Corporate Response Data (2013-2023)
    • Public Water Security Scores (2016-2023)

Getting Access

U-M affiliates must fill out this form agreeing to CDP's terms of use (be sure to use your institutional email so we can verify your affiliation with the university). Once you have done so a librarian will contact you with instructions for accessing the data.

Using CDP Data

Most files are in .xlsx format, with documentation in .pdf and .docx. Files can be downloaded as long as they are used in accordance with the terms. See the "READMEs" folder for a detailed explanation of file contents.
