Real Estate Resources

Help for your real estate research, including resources related to business, social science data, and city planning.

An Overview

The Graduate Certificate in Real Estate Development is a multi-disciplinary course of study within the Rackham Graduate School.  This research guide provides links to resources that relate directly to real estate development.  You will also want to look at guides and online resources relating to Economics, Urban Planning, Public Policy, Architecture, etc.

Use the tabs above to find appropriate sources for real estate research.

  • The Finding Articles tab will take you to a selection of databases related to real estate studies.
  • The Data Sources tab lists many government and private sources of data.
  • The Associations & Institutes tab will link to many organizations, associations, and institutes that have real estate work in their mission.
  • The final tab, Detroit/Southeast Michigan, will link you to online resources and blogs relating to the development scene in Southeast Michigan.

The Kresge Business Administration Library at the Ross School of Business will also be a great resource for you.  The Real Estate Industry Research Guide prepared by Joel Scheuher, their Business Reference Librarian, will be useful as well.

Please contact me (Rebecca Price : rpw@umich.edu ) should you know of other resources that you would like added to these lists.
