Catalog Search results will include everything in the University of Michigan Library physical collection (books, audio, video, maps, musical scores, archival materials, and more), as well as materials available online such as electronic books, streaming audio and video, and online journals.
Use the Library Catalog to search for books. If you know the name of the book you need, do a title search on the Library Catalog Advanced Search page. Use quotes around phrases for the best results.
If you're not sure of the exact title, try an 'All Fields' search using the words you know. Be sure to separate your search terms with "AND".
To find books on a particular topic, try an 'All Fields' search or, if that retrieves too many results, try a 'Subject' search to focus your results.
