Alerts in Scopus

To create alerts in Scopus, you must be signed into your Scopus user account using the Sign In button in the upper right corner. 

 

To create a subject search alert:

  1. Run a search from the Search or Advanced Search page on your topic of interest. Okay to use complex search strings, boolean operators, and apply any filters you want; Subject, Keyword, Document Type, etc.
  2. Click on Set search alert on the left.
  3. Choose options for your alerts. 


To create a document citation alert:

  1. Run a search from the Search or Advanced Search page to find documents for which you want to create an alert.
  2. Open the full record for the article.
  3. Click on Set Citation Alert. 
  4. Choose options for your alerts. 


To create an author alert:

  1. Run a search from the Author tab to find the author's profile page.
  2. Click on the Set alert button.
  3. Choose options for your alerts.
