Francophone Canada

OFFA’s mission is to develop, to coordinate and to promote post-secondary programs and courses taught in French at Simon Fraser University in order to meet the post-secondary education needs of Francophone and Francophile communities in British Columbia. OFFA also organizes cultural activities designed to promote the value of French both on and off campus.

Because of its location in the Greater Toronto Area, this doctoral program in Francophone studies at York University provides an ideal setting to engage in the study of French and its diverse cultural, linguistic and literary manifestations. The very composition of the Francophone communities in Ontario and Canada, of diverse origins and possessing a bilingual, if not multilingual, education justifies the study of that diversity and of its unifying elements.

The CRILCQ is a collaboration between researchers coming from diverse Universities, in literature, theater, music and cultural history. Its mission is to contribute to a better knowledge of Québécois literature and culture.
