Finding & Using Media

Provides information about finding and using physical and streaming media.

Askwith Media Library Materials

Askwith Media Library makes available a comprehensive collection of films and television programs for study, individual viewing, classroom screenings, and more, in a variety of formats. The collection supports U-M Ann Arbor, scholarship and research through an extensive list of documentaries, while encouraging cultural awareness with thousands of titles from around the world.

You can check out Askwith materials for short periods of time. You can also view DVDs and Blu-rays on the equipment in the Askwith Media Library. See the local instructions in that space on how to view our films.

Other media collections on campus can be found in the Language Resource Center, the Donald Hall Collection, Music Library, and the Art, Architecture & Engineering Library.

Finding Non-English Language Films

Use the language and format filters in the advanced catalog search to find international, non-English language films. (E.g. South Korean DVDs or Blu-rays in the Askwith Media Library collection)
