This is a list of selected materials that provide general information on various genealogical topics including guide books, bibliographies, immigration and naturalization, and ethnic resources. Consult the Mirlyn catalog to locate other resources that relate to these topics. In general, the Library of Congress subject headings that include these types of materials include:
- GENEALOGY -- BIBLIOGRAPHY
- GENEALOGY -- HANDBOOKS, MANUALS, ETC
- GENEALOGY -- METHODOLOGY
- IMMIGRATION AND NATURALIZATION

Note that items in the library will often be cataloged according to more than one Library of Congress subject heading. Materials may be available through Interlibrary Loan. Check with your local public library for procedures to obtain items by Interlibrary Loan.
