Alternative Metrics

Alternative metrics, also called altmetrics, measure engagement with publications in non-scholarly venues like blogs, tweets, article downloads, and shares. See the blog for more information.

How do I access alternative metrics?

  • Generate individual reports with tools like ImpactStory, or access altmetrics through publisher websites and citation databases (e.g., PlumX metrics are included in Scopus)

  • Plum Analytics

  • Snowball Metrics
