Russian Studies

Named after the Russian State Library, affectionately known as the "Leninka," this site hosts thousands of journals from universities and institutes across Russia. A great resource both for top journals from major institutions (MGU publishes all its journals here, for instance) and for access to scholarship happening in more distant regions.

Search many of Russia's most prominent contemporary "thick journals." Because it features some journals with more politically progressive leanings, the site has faced pressure from a Russian state suspicious of "radical" sentiments.
