Apply the Evidence

Describes some of the questions that can be explored when applying the evidence you've gathered.

Apply the Evidence

There are different questions to consider about applicability for a research study depending on study type. What they have in common are the following considerations:

  • Are the results clear?
  • Is the therapy/treatment/policy actionable or feasible?
  • Is my patient/client/group a good match for the one in the study?
  • Are outcomes important to the patient or group considered?
  • Are any associated risks acceptable to my client/patient/group?
  • Are the values and preferences of my group/client/patient taken into account?

If an answer to a question is No, the study will not be a good match for the clinical question.
