World Development IndicatorsEconomic development data from 551 statistical series for 224 countries and ethnic groups of the world, compiled by the World Bank. Specific series and countries/groups can be selected for specific year ranges, and data can be exported.

IMF eLibrary DataThe IFS database contains approximately 32,000 time series covering more than 200 countries and areas. Data can be exported in Excel, CSV, Tab delimited, and HTML formats.

EurostatThe Statistical Office of the European Communities: contains economic, demographic, public finance and trade data for EU member countries. The data sets are typically for a short time period (since the early 1990’s) and are organized by country.
Located in Luxemburg, It is their goal is to provide the European Union with a high-quality statistical information service that enables comparisons between countries and regions.

Environmental Data CentresThese 10 data centres (currently in process of being established) will provide environmental data on a diversity of issues, such as: waste, air, climate change, water, biodiversity, land use, soil, and forestry.
