Founded in 1713, the Real Academia Española (Spanish Royal Academy) aims to ensure a common standard and linguistic unity within and between the Spanish-speaking nations. In collaboration with the Association of Academies of the Spanish Language, it produces the most authoritative dictionaries of the Spanish language, many of them available online.
