Downloadable census, economic census, statistical survey are available. It also provides administrative boundary data in shape file. Open to public.

Provides a spatial database of the location of the world's administrative areas. The data are avilable as shapefile, ESRI geodatabase, RData, and Google Earth kmz format. Data can be downloaded by country.

The Geospatial Information Authority of Japan (GSI) introduces the current condition of Japan using satellite remote sensing data.

Global Mapping project was advocated by The Ministry of Construction of Japan (current The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism of Japan) aiming to develop digital geospatial datasets (Global Map) of the whole globe. Open to public. Landcover, vegetation, boundary, drainage, population, and transportation data are available.

JODC receives worldwide physical-chemical oceanographic data from government agencies, academic institutes, and other organizations in Japan as well as from international joint projects. JODC's data holdings provide global coverage of basic oceanographical, hydrographical properties such as temperature, salinity, ocean current, tide, tidal current, geomagnetism, gravity and bathymetry.

JAXA offers various databases including observation data from satellites and probes. Open to public.

Population density, administrative boundaries and Asian towns point coverage data are available in GRIDASCII file format. Open to public.
