You can receive announcements on workshops, software updates and patches, and any other spatial/GIS related news, by joining the UM Spatial GIS Community.
In order to do so, follow this link to their MCommunity (directory) page and click "Join" in the upper left corner.
If you are ever uncertain about who to contact for help, you are welcome to email the SAND librarians at email@example.com . If we can't help you, we'll refer you to the appropriate group on campus.
CSCAR - the Center for Statistical Consultation and Research
CSCAR provides statistical services to faculty, primary researchers, graduate students and staff of the University. CSCAR does not typically work with undergraduate students. CSCAR consultants are available to consult on spatial analysis and use of relevant tools.
The Clark Library for Maps, Government Information, and Spatial and Numeric Data Services
The Clark Library provides services to campus and community members. We provide help with finding and converting data, and using QGIS and ArcGIS desktop software, as well as online mapping tools such as ArcGIS Online, Carto, Social Explorer, and others. We typically refer to CSCAR when there is a need for consultation regarding analysis.
LSA IT provides a wide-variety of GIS Consulting services through the LSA IT Advocacy and Research Support team. The LSA ArcGIS for Server Service provides enterprise-level ArcGIS data management, web services, and collaboration support.
ESALab - Environmental Spatial Analysis Lab

Other groups on campus work with GIS, but are not typically available outside of their specific groups to help with projects.
