An open-access database housed at The Open University containing over 30,000 easily searchable records documenting the history of reading in Britain from 1450 to 1945. Evidence of reading presented in RED is drawn from published and unpublished sources as diverse as diaries, commonplace books, memoirs, sociological surveys, and criminal court and prison records.

A database based on the circulation records of the Muncie (Indiana) Public Library from November 5, 1891 through December 3, 1902.

(1905-present) Indexes 2.8 million reviews of over 850,000 fiction and non-fiction books drawn from over 8,000 periodicals, with complete full text provided for over 100,000 of the reviews, and brief excerpts provided for many more.

Cardiff University's Centre for Editorial and Intertextual Research produced this listing of nearly 2300 works by around 900 authors. Entries include information about format, editions, advertisements, reviews and may be searched or browsed. Quite useful for anyone doing work in this period.
