Lusophone Africa: Getting Started

The Mirlyn catalog and Worldcat database should be your first research stops.

New Books

In this section you will find recent titles on all Lusophone literatures (from Portugal, Brazil, and Portuguese-speaking Africa).

In this guide you will find resources to help you do research on Portuguese-speaking African countries: Mozambique, Angola, Cabo Verde, Guiné-Bissau, and São Tomé e Príncipe. Some of the databases, journals and reference materias focus on these five countries and others are broader in scope and deal with Africa or the Portuguese-speaking countries in general.

Highly recommended databases and research guides

These are two recommended databases that provide access to a wealth of resources for research from different disciplines on Africa in general. These databases can be searched for specific works on Portuguese-speaking countries.
