- Articles PlusArticlesPlus is perhaps best described as "Google for the library's online content - without the ads!" From a simple single search box, ArticlesPlus searches full-text content as well as metadata from a wide variety of sources and returns a list of relevancy-ranked results.
- ProQuest Research Library Covers a broad range of scholarly journals, magazines, trade publications and dissertations in many different disciplines.
- ISI Web of Science Key index to articles from major journals in all areas of science and technology. Use to find other articles citing a specific article.
- MirlynThe library's catalog of materials that it owns.
- Google ScholarSearches for scholarly documents on the World Wide Web, with the added feature of "Availability at UMichigan" links.
- General OneFileSimilar to ProQuest but it's a good idea to try both.
- INSPEC/ Engineering IndexCovers the world-wide literature (mainly journal articles and conference proceedings papers) in astronomy, physics, electronics and electrical engineering, computers and control, and information technology
- Scopus International multi-disciplinary database for scientific, medical, technical, and social sciences.
