How to Get Help

Each U-M department has a librarian that works with them. See the Contact a Librarian box on the left to find the librarians for Art, Architecture, and Engineering Departments. You can email them or schedule a virtual appointment with them. To find librarians for other subjects, see the Find a Specialist page at the U-M Library website.

You can also get help through the Ask a Librarian service. Ask a Librarian is available on evenings and weekends, too! You can contact a librarian via email, phone, text or chat. The chat widget is embedded into the lower right corner of this guide.

This service is great to use when you have a quick question (What are AAEL's hours tomorrow?), especially during the evenings or weekends.
