Finding Books

  • Mirlyn
Find books on engineering by doing a "Word(s) anywhere" or title search in Mirlyn. A word search is generally the best starting point. If an appropriate title is found, you may want to use the subject headings listed with that title to guide further searches.
  • Using Mirlyn from an Engineering Perspective
A guide on how to search for books using Mirlyn.

About Mirlyn

The Mirlyn catalog enables you to search and browse the University of Michigan Library’s collection of books, journals, audio/video materials, electronic resources and more. It gives you access to the catalogs of the University Library (Ann Arbor), Clements Library, Bentley Historical Library, UM Transportation Research Institute (UMTRI), and UM-Flint.

The default search in Mirlyn on the UM Ann Arbor campus includes all of the Library's holdings in Ann Arbor as well those at the Biological Station in northern Michigan. You can change the libraries that are being searched by clicking on the drop-down menu next to "Search in" above the search box.
