Learn German Through Films

An enjoyable way to bolster your language skills is to watch films in another language.  Start with German films with English subtitles turned on, then move on to watching German films with German subtitles.

Looking for recommendations? The Berlin International Film Festival is the Oscars of Germany. The Golden Bear is the highest award given. Check the archive for Golden, Silver and Bronze Bear winners since 1951.

Askwith Media Library (in Shapiro) has over 600 German feature films you can borrow.  For some titles both DVD and Blu-Ray are available.
