M Get It

Look for the MGetIt icon when searching in library databases or using ArticlesPlus. Clicking on this icon will provide direct links to the full text of online articles if they are available from databases other than the one you are searching. It also provides links to the library catalog so you can see if the article might be available in print format from the library. You can also link direct to Interlibrary Loan where you can order the article if U-M does not own it and the article will be delivered to you electronically once it becomes available, usually within a week.

Browsing for Databases

Use the Browse box on the Library banner to select subject areas for your research. You can narrow the search to a number of disciplines within the social sciences and the resulting page will provide you with a list of top electronic journals, databases, research guides and other information aimed at providing a starting place for library research.

Try ArticlesPlus to find articles quickly while search across many library resources at the same time. You can refine a search by selecting the advanced search option which allows you to select specific languages, format, date ranges and other options. For more information see the  ArticlesPlus about page.
