Guide to electronic resources in support of Emergency Medicine faculty, staff, and students.

What is eRA Commons?

eRA Commons is a secure, online interface where NIH grantees and their research organizations receive and transmit information about the administration of their research grants. http://era.nih.gov/commons/

Integration of eRA Commons and My Bibliography

eRA Commons has partnered with the National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI) to link NCBI’s personal online tool, “My NCBI,” to Commons.  As of July 23, 2011, Principle Investigators (P.I.s) with an eRA Commons Profile are required to use the My Bibliography feature in My NCBI to populate their list of publications.

This feature provides the ability for grantees to easily track compliance with the NIH Public Access Policy. Commons users can propose, confirm, or reject grant-paper associations and associate their My Bibliography citations with an eSNAP (electronic Streamlined Non-competing Award Process) progress report in Commons. Commons users can also designate delegates to maintain their professional bibliographies in My Bibliography.
